I dont think its a FACT that people would starve, however there would need to be a need for significant change in the way the world views food. I think that most north american's could stand to tighten their belt up a bit. We've enjoyed too much cheap food for long enough, perhaps it is time for that change. I am not saying that the way organic farming is right now can feed the world but with the same amount of resources that conventional food has had for the past 50 years maybe we could come up with some better ideas to make it work. Maybe there could be a happy medium between organic farming and chemical farming. Limiting chem and fert use, not trying to get every possible bushel out of the field, but producing a better, healthier, nutritious crop for everyone.

Look at the post above about wasting food. Maybe we wouldnt waste as much if it was considered a limited resource
