Subject: Re: organics opposition

Springville Alabama
There was a local person that tried to grow organic pumpkins close to where we live last year. We are a fairly wet area with an average of 56" to 58" of rain a year. This person was going to have a "Pumpkin Patch". Needless to say she called me in September wanting pumpkins, because all of their vines had died (Powdery Mildew) and all of the pumpkins had "fallen in" or rotted from worms.

I have to spray every 7-10 days with a Fungicide to keep the powdery mildew out of my pumpkins and use a pesticide to keep away the worms.
