I am by no means a Duramax expert (I run the 6.5L Pre-Max! :) ) but I can say with 95 percent certainty that the duramax does not have a lift pump, nor a high pressure oil pump.
so I will call bs on that replacement parts list. maybe he meant the high pressure fuel pump, the CP3?
They all run lift pumps.... but there has never been a duramax made that runs a HPOP.... HPOP is part of the HEUI injection system on the 7.3l and 6.0l Ford's. They DO however (all 3 makes) nowdays have a "High pressure" fuel pump, either CP3 or CP4 for running the common rail inection system....
