Washington Co Ks | I used to tag and band calves as soon as they were born. I would just slap the snot blower cow on the nose and tell her to go on. That was until one hit me from behind and knocked me off her calf and proceded to work me over. I was on the ground and couldn't get away and the calf just lay there. I was about ten foot from the truck but she was on top of me so I couldn't get there. When the calf finaly got up the cow went after it. I have no doubt that if the calf hadn't gottrn up I wouldn't have made it. I kept the cow for another year but the next year she would charge anyone that got within fifty foot of her calf so that was it for her. After that I can't bring myself to sit on a calf with the cow right there. | |
