South Central Kansas, Harper County | I'm kind of leaning that way myself. I have some very nice BWF cows, 4-6 years old calving now, about done calving. 1/2 blood simmental calves, I see the cow/calf price, and keep thinking I might just want to sell these, keep some of my heifers I have bought that are out on wheat pasture. AI them, turn a bull in later, and sell as bred heifers next fall. Kind of nice having so many options that appear profitable! :-) |
