Spreading dry accurately is not an easy job and is as much about the quality of the fertilizer as anything. However, here are a couple of pictures of an imported Bogballe fertilizer spreader working in GA. These machines are very well engineered and this one was spreading urea without any issues at 75 to 80 feet and would go more with the bigger granule urea fro some manufacturers. Heavier fertilizer material such as nitrate phosphate or potash will go significantly further in a uniform fashion. May be of interest in some areas. Capacity on this machine is about 6600 lbs which is 44 acres at 150 lbs urea. it also runs light on wet ground with duals on the tractor and will allow getting in the field a little earlier when the going is soft. There is optional running gear for under the hopper which further helps running and stability
