Near-north Ontario, French River | If you can afford the extra cost, go basement to roof ICF you won't regret it. Sadly I only had the coin to do the basement level when I built 3 years ago, going to the roof was going to be another 30K. ICF's will be cheaper to heat/cool and are MUCH quieter then even the best insulated stick built homes. You don't say where you are from but if you have any concerns with tornadoes, hurricane the added protection that an ICF built home provides may be an added bonus. |
