So. IL | 2 inches foam insulation under the entire floor. Make sure the foam is rated for concrete to be placed on top. You also want plastic or vapor barior under the foam. And get the rock level/compacted before you start. As far as the tube goes, you can staple it to the foam, clip it to the foam or tie it to the rebar, thats up to you. Just make sure its low enough to cut expansion joints in the floor. If you don't want to buy the staple gun($), then you can get plastic clips that screw into the foam and do a great job. There is a tool that goes in a cordless drill to spin them into the foam, and it was about $20. This stuff is not rocket science, and is actually pretty easy. | |
