| It is just so important that as many people from the general public are aware of how much the board has studied the problems and then the public needs to see that the board has really studied all the possible solutions BEFORE the idea of building new is even mentioned as the solution. Leave the public out of those two parts and too many people will take on the attitude that not everything was looked at and someone just wanted a new building not needed one, which can snowball the wrong way on you. Do an excellent job on the first two things and it can snowball on you the right way so much that it will seem to sell itself.
One more thing is that very few farmers or any taxpayer I know of whats an ounce of fat, fluff, or frills in a public building that their tax dollars are paying for. Personally I like the neat stone work and such on our old public buildings but I am well aware that today's tax payer is in no mood to build those any more. | |
