Manitoba
It's even moving north of ND up into canada. Five years ago corn didn't exist in Manitoba except for a small bit in the RR Valley. Now even outside the valley corn is becoming very normal. We have grown it for four years now and 100 bushels is our lowest average yield with 125 being the highest. We split a section of land half corn and half wheat in 2007 the corn did 125 while the wheat didn't even make 40. We now grow 2000+ acres of corn every year. Times are changing and the farmers that aren't are going to be left in the dust. Not to mention corn is only worth $1.20 less than spring wheat thanks to our beloved Wheat Board. Not too hard to do the math. Hatred of the CWB is also a huge reason why corn acres are increasing so rapidly north of the boarder.
