| Same for us!! Corn is now king and we are right in the middle of ND. Last year we had more bushels of corn than wheat and that has never happened on our farm before. We grow a 80 to 85 day corn and usually see a corn yield that is twice the yield of spring wheat(50 bu wht =100 bu corn). The only thing that compares to corn for us is high pro spring wheat. The trouble is the differance between 15 pro wht and 13 pro wheat is almost $4/bu. Also corn genetic have far out paced wheat genectics in the last 20 yrs. | |
