Boone Co. Iowa
I have yet to watch it, but planning to tonight.

The ONE thing a true democracy and capitalistic country has to have is rule of law, and contracts, and if a contract is broken, the courts decide how to reward (maybe not right word(s)) the party that has been wronged. Thanks to ????(not sure who here, the banks? the loan originators?), it looks like contracts and the rule of law is going by the wayside; in the place of that, it is how much money you have, or how many congressmen you have in your corner.

If trust in the system is gone/broken, there is no system.

Property equals "This is mine, and you agree, because I have a piece of paper that we both agree says that I own this."

Possession equals "This is mine, because I have it in my hand. You want it, try and take it from me. I don't care what your paper says."

About the most important thing I took away from a political philosophy class was the difference between Property and Possessions. Capitalism depends on parties agreeing that paper (money, contracts) can represent ownership.
