But now you have an instance where they have overpriced land and that will trickle down to overpriced rent, which leads to a some people who's reputations are not well respected who run around and run rent higher. All in all it just seems that all this does is increase the speed at which land values inflate. As a young farmer it can get scary.
We have been pretty fortunate in my area. We have a lot of landowners who care who farms their land. They get good rent but often turn down the "highest bidder" to work with the people they have deemed good stewards. | |
