Your exactly right Russ. It takes money to make money. I in no way feel that just becuase a person has more money that they are entitled to pay more taxes or anything of that nature. It just frustrates me when you see good stewards get the short end of the stick.

The more I think about it, the more my problem is with how the sale was handled by the sellers. They could have gotten a very good price out of that land, although not as much as it brought in the end, by simply taking bids from the handful of local guys that would have liked the farm. They could have essentially choosen who got the farm and kept in within the community in the hands of well respected farmers.
