North Central Illinois | Yes his numbers are high in fact. he has figured the 43560 sq. ft. per acre x 6.7/12 but he has it as cubic yards instead of cu. ft. don't see the need for the acre furrow slice in this instance though. take 43560 x 1/16 of an inch (43560x.0625=2722.5) x 1/12 inches per foot to get a cubic foot (2722.5x.0833=226.875) to get your amount of cu. ft. that = 226.875 and divide that by 27 cu. ft. = 8.4 cu yards x $15 = $126 per acre | |
