Subject: cornstalk fire need input

Manteno Illinois 50 miles south of Chicago
We were burning trees from a tree line that we cleaned up the other day. The wind came up 4 hours later and burnt 10 to 15 acres each of two different neighbors corn stalks. My one neighbor Devin couldn't have been nicer, the other one was mad as hell. He said it burnt up all the fertilizers . Nitrogen, potash, phosphate. So he is turning in a claim to my insurance,no problem. So in your experience is there any long or short term damage done. I had a corn field of mine burn two years ago and the beans did better. I want to make it right. Devin maps so we will be able to tell the difference and i will make up the difference, but the other guy plants and harvests a month after everybody else is done.
