Subject: When is it too dry to plant

Downtown Shell Knob MO Come Visit!
I never ever ever ever ever, have had this problem but I think it is offically too dry to plant here. The notill fields still have moisture an inch or so down but they are hard as a rock, and the row cleaner wont move any of the stubble/weeds. Im also worried with a week of dry weather coming that even if I do get it in the ground that I will have just enough moisture for every other seed and have the most uneven emergence ever. Im almost sick because last year I planted corn into june because of all the rain, Maybe some of you guys farther west have some tips on what to do besides wait? Btw, I even dropped the row cleaners all the way down and shut the seed off and tryed using the planter as a strip till bar. It worked, but the strips I went over were still shallow and with all the loose soil, the seed trench started to dry out within an hour. ;(
