Some wheat studies in western states has shown a nice response to the addition of Chloride.

Apparently there is some (conflicting) research that shows potassium chloride use lowers specific gravity in potatoes, vs. potassium sulfate, which is important for processing potatoes.

Paul, You would have to review the research procedure and ALL other nutrients applied to see if the Issue was with a lack of Sulfate ? Supplied with the 0-0-50 ? Or if the Chloride was a culprit ??? with or with out the Sulfate ?
