SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
Even if the spores would survive on the seed, how would they reproduce without leaf tissue and then it would need alot higher temps then we have at planting.Spores need a host.
The spores die off in cold weather and must be reintroduced to spread, thus only the warmest southern states can reinfect the northern ones.
Besides the seed is treated and that would kill any spores.
Rust and SA seed in a nonconcern.
Pod and stem blight is a MUCH bigger concern on SA seed. Again seed treatment is a must.
