Going with headline 1/2 rate with first rdup application and cobalt when we need to spray for aphids with domark fungicide late if crop looks good. Almost everyone here has quit using headline late in soys because the green stemms were causing harvest problems. I also think that as soon as you see aphids on the soybean plant it's just a couple of days away from spraying them. I don't wait for 250/plant. When you can SEE 25+ per plant it's getting close because you cant see all the little ones and here they explode within a few of days. I have to laugh because now this winter the ND and MN unversities are trying to teach everyone about all these beneficial insects that are out there eating up the aphids but where in the %#@& were they years ago when the aphids moved in? They're trying to make sure we wait for 250 or more and I'm not going to do it but I also make sure I'm not the first guy spraying for them.
