Martinsville, Ohio | I think you have a good plan Pat. I am doing about the same thing, fungicide seed treatment important in these cool damp notill soils.
Over the top I don't think many will spray unless they find an outbreak and then it is too late. It is preventive like your plan.
I feel all seed beans should have the treatment, really helps the seed quality we are looking and paying for.
Yes, stroburilins increase plant health by reducing ethylene gas production which helps kill and mature the crop. Many farmers don't want that, sure didn't need it on non maturing corn last year but a lot of factors caused that too.
Label rates work but some use less to save money and say they work as well.
I got by with neither last year but lost a few bushels, enough to pay for it I am not sure.
