| We didn't spray any fungicide on our corn this year. We checked the corn several times fromtasseling to end of poliination & never found enough gray leaf spots to feel it was worthwhie ( at the time it was $28/ ac for chemicals & plane). Not long after pollination we had a 70 mph wind storm go thru & a lot of corn went down. Agronomist from our soil/crop consultant says main cause of down corn was anthraxnos (sp?) and that fungicides would have helped. We are on 20" rows & he is now saying we need to be spraying fungicides on our corn, especially corn back on corn. | |
