| I took various statin drugs for several years. I quit taking it " cold turkey" about 6 years ago because of the side affects that I was having. My Dr has it listed on my medical records that I'm allergic to "all statins". I'd rather put up with the high cholesterol than the side affects I was happening. FWIW, I just completed a treadmill stress test today. 7 years ago I couldnt, only last 4 minutes. Not saying statins was what caused me to fail the previous stress test but not taking them has made a difference IMO.
