I’m fine with the old guys bidding it up. In my local area, well they also have plenty of oil wells, so budgets are not existent. So I figure that into my business, and raise what they want. I took my swing when calves were cheap and I had so much hay that wasn’t worth selling, now I’m at about 175% stocking rate.
