Until people wise up and stop turning to drugs as an escape from reality there will always be people willing to make or smuggle in drugs like fentenal. Maybe fentenal is China's way of getting back at the western world for pushing opium on them back in the 1800's when the Chinese authorities were getting alarmed about the growing use of the drug and the amount of currency leaving the country to pay for it. Sounds kind of like the failed US "war on drugs"rhetoric, doesn't it. Pretty hard to stop the drug culture when television reaches every nook and cranny in our country with ever more violent content centered around drug use and gun violence. Some days I'm not so sure that a world wide EMP caused blackout would be such a bad thing for civilization. | |
