East of Broken Bow | Actually, the Tesla Semi can charge (according to their website) for a roughly 300 mile trip, in about a half hour.
It is able to do this, because they split things up. They have 4 separate battery packs, and 4 seperate chargers on the truck. They all interface through the same charging cable, if I understand right, but by having it split into 4 separate chargers and batteries, they can charge at 4X the rate of one big battery pack (and at 4X the current draw, so it'll take a pretty good cable).
Best of luck to them, I hope it works out well for them. | |
