The land of the head waters of the Mississippi provided little excess water flow to the South this past season...maybe we'll get a little more snow this winter than last winter...and a hopefully a little more rain this next growing season.

It was way higher than last year. We have a cabin 50 miles NW of the headwaters and averaged dumping out 2 inches every two weeks all summer. The lawn is pure sand never got brown all summer. The grass was green all summer and this fall also. Last year the lake level was 3’ lower at the end of the summer. This summer the water level was within 2” of going over the docks. People that have lived on the lake have never seen water that high.
