I’m not knocking it, just saying I would love to have that deal. I provide machinery and labor that is worth maybe $175/acre and get an even trade for land that would rent for $300+/acre. And this is in an area where we use plows. No till would be even better.

Plus, don’t need to use cash for rent in spring.


If your $175/acre is close, you would be spending $350 on the acre you get a crop off of. You do the work for 2 acres but receive the income for one. So the $300 cash rent would be a better deal.

But I don’t accept the $175 machinery and labor costs per acre. That’s too high. At least for me.
