SC Wisconsin | While this may be true is some areas, in my immediate area if a farm is being sold the buildings and 5 acres gets sectioned off from the land. Investor/ bto buys the land for stupid amount and the buildings get sold for way too much and they put horses in them. I can only think of one place in my township thats even been for sale in the last 5 years with a decent set of buildings on it, it was on 5 acres with a beautiful house and nice confinement barn. They had it listed so high it didn't even sell in the current market.
I know a guy could sell everything and move somewhere where they could buy a decent setup for pennies on the dollar, but there's a reason those places usually sit for sale for a long time. They aren't worth anything without the land, and maybe land is cheaper there but there's probably a reason for that too. | |
