jackson county WI
I feed roughly the same amount of Holstein steers. We went from stuffers to tmr in bunk 14yrs ago. Within a few years I suspect we will be back to the stuffers. The tmr is more labor intensive. It is nice to take the corn off early but it isn’t the most enjoyable time starting loader and the mixer tractor when it is -20 and hoping the silo unloader goes around. The wave of the future doesn’t appear to be in small feeding operations, I think In order to survive with a small lot the cost have to be kept at a minimum. If the stuffers are currently working for you and your cog is within reason I would stick with it. Jmo
