West Tennessee | I've done a 9500 and a 9610 in the past several years. Put a straight edge on the bar (or pull a string across one) and see how much difference there is between the height of the outside and the center of the bars. Do this before going any further. I think there is also a measurement of the rasp height (that details when they should be replaced) but I do not know what that is. I would say if you think they might should be replaced then they probably should, but check to be sure. Every time we've done it, it made a new machine out of it. It is easier with the feederhouse off (did both of ours that way) but I've heard it can be done through the rock door. Do a search on this site as this has been discussed before. Check your concave condition also. This is hard to get a good look at with the feederhouse on the machine. Hope this helps some. | |
