Central Nebraska | A general observation is that in many cases the person brought in to run a business or even sector of a business may have the desired degrees or whatever, but doesn't necessarily have an idea about how things actually work. Take for example a corporate parts manager for an agricultural company. That person might be great with numbers but has zero experience in agriculture. For them it doesn't matter that a customer wait a few days for a part during planting/harvest. All they see is that it is more cost effective to ship the popular part from the warehouse somewhere else instead of letting the dealer carry it on their shelves. While the head doesn't need to know every detail of the business, it helps to have a very good grasp of what's going on. Another observation is that sometime during the 1990s loyalty to a company/employee was lost. These two things have gone a long way to fuel the problems between companies and employees. This problem started long before the covid, but the rules and regulations have worsened things ten fold. | |
