If you are worried about inflation sitting on extra cash in my opinion is about the worst thing a guy can do.
That being said… I would also be cautious about running your cash to position too tight.
In my opinion its pretty hard to figure out where this land market is actually at. Hearing a lot of stupid high sales numbers but from my limited knowledge almost, if not all of these high an asterisk by them.
They have an extra revenue stream from a windmill, or involve some residential zoned portion for development.
The stupid high 20k+ ground involved some once in a lifetime 1031 money that was so high a guy couldn’t say no. When you read a farm sold for 26k an ac and a farmer bought it… well that sure makes me scratch my head until some details emerge.
