Subject: RE: what would you use for alternative heat?

Bourbon,Indiana

I have a drafty old farmhouse, about 2,000 ft2 not counting the basement. Where the corn stove shines, is that mid cool temp, from 40-60* outside temp. The LP furnace never runs. Once temps get to 35* or below the furnace will kick on every so often to even out the house.

I use approx 200 bu per year depending on the year. It's a pain to keep going some days as it is getting long in the tooth, but the heat it puts out is nicer than using just the furnace.

If it pukes, I'm not sure what the next step will be. I ordered another ash bucket last January from my dealer. I still have not seen it. *shrug*
