Last fall I had Covid.   Local feeders were paying $140-150 a ton for corn.  Place I was hauling to bitched about a 18% load.   Put the rest in my bin. Sold it in February for $225 a ton.  Was offered over $300 if I had any extra before I had it all hauled in April.

Bins don't pay************************************************

I didn't say bins don't ever pay. I have enough storage for 100% of production. I said bins didn't pay last year. We saw great flat price appreciation in ag commodities last year, to see that increase did not require you to put your grain into storage, it didn't cover the interest and depreciation expense.
