Nw Iowa | Boone, you and I see eye to eye most of the time but I agree with coup on this one. In our part of the world there are hot neighborhoods and neighborhoods not as aggressive. If you are not hung up on piece next door there are pieces that work better than others. If government doesn’t close the tax free trade thing, if you are patient , you can eventually trade for something closer to home.
Not replying to Boone but in general coup is right about not getting over leveraged in land now. We have already seen the big rise, in our area 40%, so you have already missed the boat so to speak. I think mailbox money has or will dry up and inputs costs are going to be alittle harder on bottom lines even with a 5 dollar corn market. Didn’t say world was going to end but cost of machinery, rents, inputs will take the easy money out of it. | |
