Yea this argument gets brought up a lot...farmers are dumb and should just work a day job so there is some profit for the real farmers. I dont know a single farmer who has quit farming (without being forced out). I know plenty who work day jobs that would love to be farmers. As you said about that grass...
They exist, at least in places where farming still involves work and/or risk.
