Subject: RE: No-Till Questions, my operation

Northwest Pennsylvania
Keep in mind my environment is very different than yours. For corn into bean stubble row cleaners really aren't necessary but we couldn't get a satisfactory stand for corn into corn without row cleaners. The first year of no till needs to be corn into beans on each field. where we tried beans into corn for the first no till year we got a good stand but the yield was not nearly as good as the tilled ground beside it. We did a test this year of our jd 1750 with dry 2x2 no row cleaners vs our case 1200 with row cleaners and 2x0x2 liquid. This was in bean stubble the case won by 11 bushels per acre.
