So, after 9 months of mandated measures, how much progress have we made? To me, I think we did find out that Covid was not going to be the hospital-filling disease that many feared initially. In fact locally, hospitals went down to very low patient loads.
Now vaccine manufacturers say it may take 4 years to get a product. Can we survive another 4 years of this?
Folks that fell that it's best to wear masks should have the right to wear them. Also, vise-versa. My mum is a nurse, she's been nursing for 54 years and is pretty much retired. She just does one shift a week because she enjoys it and likes a bit of spending money, which dispite her protests, they don't need, but I digress. She has been on a respiritary ward for some time, which is now a specialist Covid 19 ward. I spoke to her at the weekend she and said they had not had an Covid positive patients for weeks. Health care in the UK is provided by the state via our taxes and in the main provide a very good service incedibly cheaply, but is hugely politcal. The government comondeered various exhibition centres through out the country to convert into specialist hospitals to treat covid patients.
