SW Minnesota | I haven't had any joint problems other than achey knees and elbows. Keto has definitely helped that considerably. For 10+ years we have reduced carbs in cycles. We could really tell it in our joints. My wife has been skeptical of the idea at first but gradually found it to help her. She is 53 and has been dealing with knee problems since a sports injury in middle school. She has had one surgery to try and fix an ACL and three more to clean up rough spots in her knee cartilage. 15 years ago she was told she would have to have a knee replacement at some point. After cutting carbs over the years she is feeling she doesn't need a replacement. Our inconsistent carb cutting probably caused some weight reduction over the last 10 years but it definitley helped joints. We've een doing a more consistent Keto since last August and each lost 15-20 lbs.I am sure that will help even more. | |
