| I checked the potentiometer with a multimeter and it seems to be functioning properly. I had also thought that the micro switch would change direction but it opens the circuit no matter which way I move the joystick. I’m not sure if it’s function but it appears to be functioning properly also. I also tested the wires between the joystick and the main control box at the basket and there is continuity of all the wires up to that box at least.
That main box is a rats nest of wires. I am trying to figure out how the system functions so that I can narrow down where the problem might be. It is a very complicated system though. For my level of expertise anyways. Lol
Edit to add: Actually I can’t remember if the micro switch is wired normally open or normally closed but in any case it changes state the same no matter which way I move the joystick off centre.

A question for hydraulic experts.
