I would disagree....Wrong thing/wrong reason.
Would the sellers also be required to make delivery?
Would every buyer be required to take delivery of every contract purchased?
The unintended outcome of this requirement would be a cash market with zero price discovery..or at a minimum a market that trades no more than 2 weeks out.
While I do agree, there is gamesmanship, it happens in all markets....As local hardware store is selling a 4 pack of TP for $9.
It seems to me that the futures market on cattle should go away...
