I'm baling 2-400 5x5 bales annually with a Vermeer 505L. I'd prefer a 6' capable machine, but I found this with net and under 5k bales on the monitor for $7500, so I can deal with a few extra bales to move. I've been satisfied for the past 8 years.
I cut with a Heston 1120 sickle machine. Can't cut much over 5 mph, but it's not bad with a sharp sickle.
To buy hay mower/baler or not? advice needed
