Swaledale, IA | Interesting the guys looking for experienced help. I was looking for that kind of work this winter as we rented out our ground and I have always run the planter, newer equipment with all the bells and whistles, and did all the spraying with a rogator for 1500 acres. I found only 2 guys that expressed any interest more than just a part time spring and fall job. One never did get around to discussing actual wages and the other offered fair wages for only a short time of long hours with the possibility of more hours later. Also I was an experienced CDL A driver. I ended up with a trucking company hauling freight while being home every weekend and almost every evening driving a nearly new Freightliner. While I probably have a better, steadier job with this company I would rather have stayed running farm equipment. | |
