Eastern Shore of MD | I like the idea of having non farm funding options when it comes to retirement. I do not want to be entirely dependent on the farm assets when I retire, cause who knows the next generation my want to continue and if so I want to be able to help them out by not being entirely dependent on the farm to fund retirement. These other accounts will should also allow my wife and I to do what we want in retirement with no effect on the farm.
So, my wife and I have IRA's that have built up nicely over time. Paying for college has temporarily chocked my contributions but my wife has continued hers.
Just my prospective.
