I don't know, maybe because the Cen Ill guys do most of the whining, perhaps? 

Maybe the threads are started by the large farm as a source of publicity?  It does seem a little odd that these discussions always start the week before a major holiday, making them available for discussion at family get togethers where people  may own land.

If you have not read magazine articles about big farms in other states, you must not read very many farm magazines.  I've read about 20-50k farms all over the globe in top producer, sf, farm futures, and online.   I'll guarantee you that they exist in KS, AR, TX, NE, and UT because I've set foot on those. There are lots more who's business philosophy is to avoid publicity and conduct their business under cover as much as possible. 

It looks like YOU need to tell US why you think you're so different.
