Tough deal. Blaming the rescuers is the beginning of the grieving process. You shouldn't as I am sure they did the best they could but at this stage you want to blame someone. That's natural.
Time will make things a little better but I can tell you now it is going to be a long fall for your Dad and you. Take care of each other.
I'm sorry anyone has to go through something like this.
