Lewisburg, PA | If you let your corn grow with the rye then you get an alleopathy issue. Someone should really tell the corn plants about this cause they don't seem to understand what they are doing is impossible. Bottom Picture is of a pass where I had no herbicide where the corn is a little spindly is where the no spray pass was. This is actually untreated nongmo, so a lot of things are possible.. Plan for 50#N at planting. BE VERY CAREFULL killing early on too big of stuff when you tell me you have a concern of it being too wet in the green rye!! well if you kill it early you wont have anything growing to pull moisture out and you can end up with mud!! I would plant in mud all day long in big rye cover then wait for that perfect window for that perfect crumply seed bed > to many roots to let it fail!
