Hardin County, Iowa | We have twice bought farms with another party and split them. I now regret partnering with someone else on both those purchases. We would have been better off paying for and keeping all of both farms. At the time, we felt that it would be better to lessen the debt load. In hindsight, that was a mistake. Like Thor, we bought a poorer farm as an inflation hedge. I feel the same as he does; it works for the hedge but is frustrating to farm. If I had it to do over I would not have bought it. Paul | |
