One of the farms that I lease had a big Union Army Civil War camp next to the Nolin river and railroad (used to be L&N, now CSX), when we were still doing tillage we used to find mini balls that had been shot from rifles pretty often. This is the main line from Louisville to Nashville, so it was an important shipping tool.
